In your domain registrar's control panel, set your domain's nameservers to the OctaHost nameservers shown in your welcome email (and in your client area). DNS changes can take a few hours to propagate worldwide. If you prefer, you can instead point an A record to your server's IP address.

Log in to your OctaHost client area, open My Products, and click Manage next to your hosting package, then Login to cPanel. You can also reach cPanel directly at yourdomain.com/cpanel using the username and password from your welcome email.

In cPanel open Email Accounts, click Create, enter the address and a strong password, set a mailbox quota, and save. Your new mailbox is ready immediately via webmail or any mail app.

Use the connection details from cPanel > Email Accounts > Connect Devices. Use your full email address as the username, your server's mail hostname, and IMAP (port 993) for incoming and SMTP (port 465) for outgoing with SSL enabled.

Visit yourdomain.com/webmail and log in with your full email address and password to read and send mail from any browser.

Use an SSH client (Terminal on macOS/Linux, or a tool like PuTTY/MobaXterm on Windows). Connect to your server's IP on port 22 with the root username and the password from your welcome email: ssh root@your-server-ip. You will be prompted for the password on first login.

Use Remote Desktop (RDP). On Windows open Remote Desktop Connection, enter your server's IP, then log in with the Administrator username and password from your welcome email. On macOS use the Microsoft Remote Desktop app.

From your client area open the VPS and use the control panel's Reboot, Stop/Start or Reinstall OS options. Reinstalling wipes the server, so back up your data first.

In cPanel use the Backup or Backup Wizard tool to download a full or partial backup of your files, databases and email. We recommend keeping your own periodic backups in addition to any server-side ones.

Change your cPanel password under cPanel > Password & Security, and your client-area password from your account profile. Use a long, unique password for each.
